Giving Back

We started the BBQ Shack because of our passion for great BBQ. We decided to open it in California City because of our love and passion for this great community. We don’t plan on being just another restaurant on the boulevard, we plan on being an integral part of this city. Our team is planning to implement corporate social responsibility in every aspect of our restaurant

 

Taking Care of the Team! 

      Starting with our employees we will offer a host of benefits including full healthcare, paid time off, and most importantly a living wage. We know life isn’t always easy, so we want to ensure we do everything we can to support our team members just like we would family. While we put supporting our team first that isn't the only aspect of CSR we plan to implement. 

 

Energy Efficiency!

      One great thing about California City is the beautiful sunshine, we plan on using this to power everything at our business. Utilizing solar power and battery backup will ensure we aren’t a strain on the local grid. All our access energy produced will feed back into the grid to help power the community. 

 

Environment!

      We want to ensure we are net positive when it comes to the local environment. This philosophy also translates into everything we use in the restaurant from utilizing substantial suppliers for our packaging to making recycling our mission. 

 

Charity!

      Lastly, we want to ensure we are supporting the local community in any way we can. To do this we plan on donating 100% of our leftover items to local charities and food banks. We also plan on working with these charities to help raise money by sponsoring events and providing food or offering discounts.

      If you have an idea for a local charity event, please reach out!  Also please share this post and tag us in it to get 10% off your next meal and we will also donate 10% to the local food bank on your behalf.
